2007 - Kelly Mehler Schood of Woodworking in Berea, KY - A frequent guest presenter of Alabama Woodworkers Guild, Kelly Mehler's school provide an opportunity for experienced woodworkers and novices to sharpen their skills, learn new techniques and get tips from top woodworkers from around the world. The school offers a variety of courses throughout the year.

2006 - Sam Maloof Chair Making Workshop sponsored by the Greenville Woodworkers Guild in Greenville, SC. The late Sam Maloof is the most famous woodworker in the United States.

2005 - Marc Adams School of Woodworking in Franklin, IN - MASW offers workshops in: Apprenticeship; Carving; Chairmaking; Design; Details; Styles and Sculpture Methods; Finishing; Hand Skills; Traditional Woodworking; Joinery; Projects, Techniques and Basic Classes; Turning; Veneering; and a variety of weekend workshops.

2004 - The Dogwood Institute in Alpharetta, GA - The Dogwood Institute focuses on teaching the fundamentals of woodworking as "a process rather than a project." Basic fundamentals are taught in five 2-day courses. Subjects include selecting the right tool for the job, tool sharpening, detailing, wood selection and hand tool preparation of the wood. Technique instruction focuses on hand cut dovetailing, mortise and tenon joinery, final assembly preparation and finishing.
