Over the years, I have worked on several special projects. Often the ideas came about because of a special request from my wife or children. Once I have an idea of their needs in an item, I am able to make a plan, often without paper and pencil. Below are some of my completed projects.
In 1998 I made this Hope Chest for my daughter. It is made from red oak and lined with cedar.
This clock Oak Pendulum clock was made from a kit. The pre-cut parts were very accurate, making it easy to assemble. The footstool is made from Red Oak using dowel and glue for assembly.
Below are a bookshelf and a Reference Center for my son and daughter-in-law using scrap wood.
The Recipe
Reference Center below has two shelves for cookbooks as well as two drawers for anything from placemats, napkins
and tablecloths, to more cookbooks. The hutch to the right is made from Oak. It has 5 adjustable shelves and a drawer
on the bottom.
The photo below left shows a fly rod rack custom made for my son. Below right is a Coffee Table made for my daughter. It has 2 drawers, each drawer is divided into 4 sections holding a total of up to 300 CD cases.
Below is the crib I made for my first grandchild. It is a Mission Style crib made entirely from reclaimed Oak and Cherry.
